SUSAN FANG
Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, Air-Infinity
SUSAN FANG presents its Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, Air-Infinity, at Shanghai Fashion Week. This is a meditation on endless lightness. Delicate bows float in eternal suspension, each knot a frozen instant between dream and reality. Ribbons drift through ethereal dimensions, their loops weaving infinite connections between time and space.
Following SS26’s Air-Evolution, which imagined a future of nature-technology symbiosis, Air-Infinity turns the lens back to the present. Bows serve as symbols of sweetness and sentiment; mummy motifs as metaphors for preservation and the desire to hold on to what we love; 1950s and 60s silhouettes collaged with vintage ski jackets allow different eras to collide within an infinite loop.
The collection is rich with wrapping and bow details, while liberating the play of light through transparency, floral geometry, and colour to create a glowing illusion of luminescence within the clothing. The wrapping, bows, and flowing ribbon straps build a deliberate contradiction: restraint and release coexist, softness and rebellion live side by side. The styling carries a warrior’s strength and rebellious spirit: conquer your own soul, and flowers will bloom again in infinity.
Key pieces push ribbon to its most elemental extreme: gowns constructed entirely from cascading ribbon, where fabric itself dissolves into pure flow; 1950s-inspired ribbon jackets and full skirts that nip, flutter, and bloom with mid-century sweetness; puffer jackets wrapped and bound in ribbon, their volume tamed and teased into soft surrender; and quilted puffers mapped in bow patterns, each stitch a tiny declaration of tenderness.
Print Design
This season’s prints employ ASCII digital coding to create their visual effect. From afar, they appear as a lush garden; up close, they are composed entirely of numbers and letters. The designs were realised through the creative coding, continuing the brand’s questioning of reality itself: when we look closely enough at the world around us, might we discover that everything is made of code?
Show and Set Design
The show set is designed by XL+ Architects, conceived around the concept of infinity. The large-scale installation draws audiences into a boundless, immersive space that echoes the collection’s exploration of infinite cycles between time, space, and emotion.
Footwear Design and Collaborations
This season’s footwear is led by Orelio De Jonghe, Head of Accessories and Footwear at Susan Fang. Orelio previously served as Senior Industrial Designer at Dyson for nearly three years. He now brings his industrial design background into deep fusion with fashion innovation, driving technical and craft breakthroughs across the brand’s accessories and footwear.
Melissa × Susan Fang — Peach Blossom Series
The collaboration with Melissa centres on the peach blossom as its core motif, presenting three breakthrough styles. Poetic, dreamy, and translucent, each evokes the feeling of the Cinderella shoe every girl has dreamed of, reborn through blooming petals. The peach blossom is a powerful symbol of love and renewal in Chinese culture, and here they rise from flat prints into three-dimensional form, blooming across each shoe. Every style pushes the limits of Melissa’s moulding technology, progressing from gradient colour to transparent materials to fully sculptural petal structures.
The three designs are:
Melissa Daphnis Ballerina — A crystalline, transparent body with three-dimensional blossoms appearing and disappearing within the translucent material, dreamlike and ethereal
Melissa Luna Bloom — A newly developed silhouette fusing athletic energy with ballet elegance, with peach blossoms growing naturally along the upper in various stages from bud to full bloom
Melissa Possession Platform Sakura — A reimagined platform shoe with blossoms cascading from sole to upper, bringing Melissa’s iconic silhouette into an entirely new dimension
3D-Printed Footwear — In Partnership with Bambu Lab
A 3D-printed shoe debuts this season in multiple colourways, produced using Bambu Lab’s second-generation dual-nozzle consumer-grade 3D printing technology. An elegant football-inspired silhouette is transformed by two spirals that ripple into one another across each sole, their white ridges swirling like ice cream curls frozen mid-pour, then travelling upward around the upper in an unbroken loop. A bow crowns each pair, tying the shoe directly into the collection’s language of wrapping and release, sweetness caught in an infinite embrace. Bambu Lab joins as official technology partner of the AW26 show.
Infinity in Bloom Phone Cases and Electronic Accessories Collection — Global Collaboration with CASETiFY
SUSAN FANG extends the world of Air-Infinity beyond the runway through a global collaboration “Infinity in Bloom” with CASETiFY. The Infinity in Bloom phone case collection translates the season’s meditation on endless lightness into three limited-edition prints — Lavender Mist, Rose Quartz Reflection, and Opal Dream — each capturing a different stage of the infinite bow’s journey: from a single delicate tie emerging through soft purple haze, to ribbons layering and doubling in warm blush tones, to an iridescent crescendo of bows scattering across a luminous dreamscape. Three prints. One infinite loop. Tied in air forever. Alongside the phone cases, three special show pieces — the Bubble Infinity Airpods Max Case, the Bubble Infinity Phone Bag, the Bubble Infinity 3D Printed Snappy Grip Stand — bring the collection’s signature bubble aesthetic and bow elements into wearable accessories, ethereal objects suspended between fashion and function.
The three designs are:
Lavender Mist — Rendered in soft lavender gradients, a single bow emerges from a misty backdrop, composing a serene opening chapter and symbolizing the first breath of infinite creation.
Rose Quartz Reflection — Bows gradually layer and intertwine within warm blush tones, while rose quartz-like luminosity creates depth and dimension, extending gently through soft reflections.
Opal Dream — Ribbons dance within an iridescent opalescent glow, as scattered bows shift and shimmer with changing light, converging into a radiant cascade that blooms across infinite space.
Digital Garden — Carpet Collection with Moooi
This creative coding language extends beyond the runway through Digital Garden, a carpet collection with Moooi. Translating the ASCII print technique into woven textile, each carpet reads as a lush, painterly garden from a distance, revealing a dense field of characters and digits up close. Guests can have a first view of the collection at the entrance of the show.
Signature Handcraft
Handcraft remains at the heart of SUSAN FANG. This season continues the brand's signature bubble beading technique, where each bead is sewn individually by hand, forming a crystalline three-dimensional texture across the surface of the garments like dewdrops resting on fabric. Alongside this, the brand's signature Air Flower technique uses only strips of material, folded and shaped to create precise geometric flower structures. Layers of transparent print and colour are built up to produce a luminous depth, light and weightless yet rich in detail. These handcraft techniques echo the season's exploration of light: the layering of transparent materials allows colour and floral geometry to shimmer and shift, creating a glowing illusion that gives each piece its own living presence.
