‘AIR’ Fall/Winter 2026 Collection
ABOUT
“AIR” is always there, yet invisible to the eye. It has no weight, no color, no clear outline, and in our daily lives, we rarely even notice it.
doublet’s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection began by confronting this “invisible air.”
Yarns born from CO2 captured from the atmosphere. Bio-based resins created by microorganisms that “eat” greenhouse gases. Inks made from carbon derived from exhaust gases. We encountered materials born from the very “air” we usually take for granted.
But the air-derived yarn was far from easy to work with. Severe heat shrinkage, unpredictable changes depending on processing conditions, textures that refused to behave as expected. We were told that even the developers themselves had repeatedly asked, “Can this really be released into the world?”
Behind every technology that is praised for its results lie countless failures and endless trial and error. Still, they kept moving forward, believing, “Next time, it will work.”
Why go that far? Perhaps it’s because it’s simply... interesting. What you couldn’t do yesterday, you can do today. What you didn’t understand yesterday, suddenly makes sense today. And beyond that, there is a view you can only see by continuing.
We wanted to give form to that “time they never gave up.” To believe that every detour and every moment of hesitation
was also a kind of breath (a process) leading toward the future.
“AIR” is clothing born from the air, clothing born from belief, and a collection that connects to a future not yet fully shaped.
