GN: You’ve been building an exciting career as an actress and creative. What first inspired you to pursue this path, and when did you realize this was something you wanted to take seriously?

AG: At the age of seven, I was enrolled into my first acting program. I knew immediately this was something I wanted to take seriously. I enjoy giving a voice to my characters and giving real people a sense of representation.

GN: What has this chapter of your career taught you about yourself that you didn’t know when you were first starting out?

AG: I'm learning how resilient I am and how deep my faith is. You get a lot of rejection in this industry. More than the average person. Waking up every morning and still finding ways and reasons to keep pushing has shown me I'm a tough cookie!

GN: You star in “Why Did I Get Married Again?” What was your reaction when you found out you would be joining such an iconic franchise?

AG: Becoming part of such an iconic franchise is really an indescribable feeling. There are so many emotions - gratitude, excitement, and much more. I grew up watching these films and now to be a part of it is such a joyous feeling. It's beautiful.

GN: What has the experience of working on “Why Did I Get Married Again?” been like for you, and what have you enjoyed most about being part of the film?

AG: It was such a joy working with them for so many reasons. One moment they would share valuable lessons for me to carry into my career, and the next moment we're laughing because someone made a joke. Seeing them work was inspiring. Seeing them have a good time was refreshing. It was really an unforgettable experience!

GN: What is one goal you’re currently working toward that you’re especially excited about?

AG: One goal I'm working toward and especially excited about is being on tv screens on a weekly basis. I think once I accomplish that I'll feel like my hardwork is really respected.

GN: Walk us through your ideal morning routine. What are the things you like to do when you first wake up that help you feel grounded, focused, and ready to take on the day?

AG: I appreciate and thrive after slow, early mornings. I typically don't answer phone calls or text until I've been up for an hour. In that hour I drink a cup of tea, journal, sit with myself, and see what my day intels. After that, I go to the gym and that's when my day really starts. Slow mornings help keep me grounded and help me regulate my nervous system.

GN: At the end of a long day, what does your night routine look like? How do you unwind, recharge, and create space for yourself?

AG: At the end of a long day I like to turn on some Anita Baker, light candles, and relax. Sometimes I'll cook to relax, other times I may read. Relaxing looks different based on the type of day I had. But I never skip skincare or my nightly cup of tea.

GN: When you think about the dreams you have for your career and your life, how do you turn those dreams into goals, and what do you hope people ultimately see, feel, or take away from the journey you’re creating?

AG: Turning my dreams into goals is really about how hard I'm willing to work, and staying ready so that when opportunity comes I can take advantage in the moment.  I believe in setting deadlines but I also believe in also being open and flexible.  Sometimes the things you want happen in ways you didn't imagine. So, that's what I want people to take away. Have a plan, but be open!

GN: What does “Goodnight” mean to you? Beyond simply ending the day, what does that word or moment represent in your life?

AG: Beyond simply ending the day, for me "goodnight" means the opportunity to rest, reflect, and recharge. It’s the opportunity to release what doesn't serve you before stepping into something new.
